Use of cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small strings of text stored on your device during your visits to various websites.

To navigate freely on the NoFlyStore website, and to take full advantage of the shopping experienced constructed around your tastes and navigation preferences, it is necessary that you enable cookies in the settings menu of your browser. If you do not want to accept cookies, you can still browse the site and use it for research purposes, but you won't be able to access the full range of features designed specifically for you, including the ability to purchase and place orders. In most browsers, the cookies are enabled by default; in the bottom of the page you will find some pointers on how to change the cookies settings in your browser.

NoFlyStore reserves the right to use cookies, with user's full consent implicitly expressed by him/her when consenting to the cookies, even where the applicable law or regulations require explicit acceptance, which is done for easier navigation on the site and customisation of displayed information. NoFlyStore also reserves the right to use similar systems to collect information about users of the website, such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, type of Internet browser and operating system used and/or web pages visited by a user, for statistical purposes and security. NoFlyStore may collect this information to track site usage and to improve certain aspects. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. Nevertheless, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local laws, we treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that personal data are aggregated with non-personal data, we treat such aggregated data as personal data, to ensure full compliance with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are not harmful to your computer, tablet or smartphone. In the cookies generated by NoFlyStore we do not store personally identifiable information such as credit card details, but we use encrypted information compiled by them to improve your visit to the site. For example, cookies are useful to identify and resolve errors, or to determine related products to display to the user when browsing the site, allowing you to navigate between the different pages efficiently and remembering your preferences.

Below is a brief illustration of how NoFlyStore uses cookies and similar tools.

Navigation cookies

These cookies are essential for you to move within the site and to use its features, such as access to restricted areas of the website. Without cookies certain services, such as online shopping, can not be provided.

The cookies are strictly necessary as they are used to store a unique identifier in order to manage and identify the user as unique compared to others browsing the site at that time. This enables the site to provide a consistent and accurate service to the user.

Some examples include:

  • Record of previous actions (for example, entered text) when navigating back to a page in the same session;
  • Management and passage of security tokens to different services within a website to identify the status of the visitor (for example, registered or unregistered);
  • Retention of tokens for the implementation of restricted areas of the website;
  • Routing of customers towards specific versions/applications of a service, as it might be necessary during a technical migration.

Performance cookies

These cookies can belong to NoFlyStore or to either session or persistent partners; their use is limited to performance and improvement of the website. These cookies do not collect information that can identify you. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated in anonymous form and is only used to improve the functionality of the site.

Some examples include:

  • Web Analytics, the collected data are limited only to website operator's usage of the website, to manage the performance and structure of the site. These cookies may be third-party cookies, but the information will only be used by those involved in the publication of NoFlyStore;
  • Tracking of affiliates by NoFlyStore partners: the cookies are introduced by the Partners and used by them exclusively to determine if a user from another site has executed the purchase of a product or service on NoFlyStore;
  • Error handling: measurement of errors that occur on the site. Usually this function will support the improvement of services or the management of complaints and will generally be closely linked with web analytics;
  • Test different structures of the web page: tests of structure variations, usually using A/B or multivariate testing, to ensure that current and subsequent sessions will maintain a consistent look and feel for the site user.

Functional cookies

Cookies usually are the result of a user action, but they can also be implemented in the supply of a service not explicitly requested but nonetheless offered to the user. They can also be used to prevent a previously offered and refused service from being offered again to the same user. In addition, these cookies allow the website to remember the user's choices (such as user name, language, country of origin, etc.). Information collected by these cookies is anonymous and can not track the user's behaviour on other sites.

Some examples include:

  • Remember the settings that a user has applied to a website, such as layout, font size, preferences, colour, etc.;
  • Remember choices so that it is no longer required to fill in a questionnaire; detect if a service has already been offered, such as not offering a tutorial on every subsequent visit to the website;
  • Provide information to allow the operation of an optional service, such as offer of a live chat session;
  • Comply with a request of the user, such as submitting a comment.

Third-party cookies for marketing/retargeting

These cookies are used by partners of NoFlyStore in order to display advertising banners of NoFlyStore when you are browsing other sites, showing you the latest products that you have looked at on the website. While browsing NoFlyStore, these cookies are also used to show products you might like or similar to those you have been watching, based on your browsing history. The use of these cookies does not entail the processing of personal data, but can allow connections to your computer or other devices and tracking of saved data: the cookies connect to the browser installed on your computer or on other devices used during navigation on our website.

How can I disable cookies?

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can also choose not to We advise you, however, not to disable this function, since this may keep you from moving freely from page to page and enjoying all the features of the site. If you do not want your computer to receive and store cookies, you can change the security settings of your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.). In any case, certain features of NoFlyStore can be used fully only if your browser accepts cookies; otherwise, for example you may not be able to add products to your shopping cart and proceed with your purchase. As a result, your choice to remove and not to accept cookies may adversely affect your experience on the site.
